Even though someone’s always inventing a new cocktail, the IBA (International Bartending Association) has a list of officially recognized drinks. Manhattans, screwdrivers and martinis are some official drinks that require a basic knowledge of bartender recipes.
The Manhattan is a very common cocktail, making it one the most well-known bartender recipes. Whiskey, sweet vermouth and bitters are the regular ingredients in the cocktail, but the ratio may differ.
Online guides will have plenty of bartender recipes for any amateur server. Although most of these recipes are very subject to variation, they will give some general idea of what ingredients go into each drink.
