The most seasoned bartenders are subject to forgetting how to make specialty drinks. Frequently made cocktails will become ingrained in their minds, rarer drinks are susceptible to slip from memory – which makes having a bartendering guide necessary.
Besides providing recipes for cocktails, a bartendering guide has information on:

• The necessary equipment (including glasses and containers)
• Hygiene/safety
• Basic techniques for pouring drinksEven though there are many guides available anywhere bar supplies are sold, there are also free guides available online. When looking at online information, make sure to search “bartending guide” instead of “bartendering guide” – which is an incorrect term.
